My Story

I’ve always been curious about what I could create, and willing to learn whatever might help me find out.

That curiosity has taken me through pastry, floral design, ceramics, and eventually CAD, as I searched for ways to give my ideas greater precision. Alongside a career in finance and accounting, I kept sketching, taking classes, and exploring materials. Over time, the desire to bring those drawings to life became too strong to leave on paper.

Studio Tôduy grew from that desire. I wanted to create objects that bring together expressive forms, beautiful materials, and exceptional craftsmanship. My first collection, Ngự Uyển, is a personal exploration of my Vietnamese heritage, bringing traditional mother-of-pearl inlay into contemporary furniture through the skill and dedication of our artisans.

As the studio grows, I look forward to exploring new ideas across furniture, lighting, and objects. I’m drawn to the possibilities that emerge through studying a material, learning a technique, or working through an unfamiliar challenge. That ongoing process of discovery shapes my work and gives me the confidence to bring each new idea to life.
